Forge New Paths in Animal Advocacy

The VLGS master’s degree in animal protection policy (MAPP) was created recognizing the connections between the well-being of people, animals, and the environment. From work in government agencies to nonprofit organizations, and as educators, program directors, consultants, or activists, MAPP students will learn how to strategically advocate for a more humane world.

Meaningful careers that make a difference

Through specialized courses and practical training, a MAPP degree from VLGS opens doors to a range of animal policy-related careers:

The best of both academic worlds

The new MAPP degree is built upon the strong foundation of VLGS’s successful graduate school program. VLGS master’s degrees are designed for those who do not seek a law degree, however law students may enroll to earn a joint degree. MAPP students learn from leading animal law and policy practitioners and scholars, gaining real-world skills, to broaden their career opportunities.
