The VLGS master’s degree in public policy (MPP) with a specialization in animal protection was created recognizing the connections between the well-being of people, animals, and the environment. From work in government agencies to nonprofit organizations, and as educators, program directors, consultants, or activists, MPP students will learn how to strategically advocate for a more humane world.
Through specialized courses and practical training, a MPP degree from VLGS opens doors to a range of animal policy-related careers:
VLGS offers a flexible, innovative curriculum for the MPP degree on campus or online, including summer sessions. Our specialized coursework focuses on training graduate students on the political, scientific, and ethical aspects of effective strategic animal advocacy. MPP students choose either a thesis track with supervision from leading experts and accomplished scholars, or a practice track with unique experiential learning opportunities including clinics or externships with prominent practitioners.
VLGS also allows students from other schools and non-degree-seeking students to enroll in courses, and we provide an audit discount for alumni.
